Швейцарците показаха как се пробиват Алпите
Който е пътувал с автомобил през Европа, със сигурност е забелязал дългите тунели, които опасват целия континент. Колкото и протяжно да е преминаването през тях обаче човек се чувства спокойно и сигурно – те са достатъчно широки, добре осветени, асфалтът е хубав.
Но европейците предпочитат да пътуват с влак, защото е по-бързо, по-удобно и по-спокойно, отколкото с автомобил, както пък сме принудени да пътуваме ние из България, където от години нормалните хора отказват да не се качат на влак заради страховитото качество на този иначе приятен начин за придвижване. Европейците инвестират в жп-транспорта и не спират да го усъвършенстват. Именно по тези съоръжения Европа (за съжаление Западна Европа) може да се мери с високотехнологичната Япония и винаги първия Китай.
Проектът „Готард”
Поредното доказателство за уменията на строителите и мащабите на мислене на конструкторите е завършилото на 15 октомври прокопаване на 57-километровия тунела “Готард”, който преминава под Швейцарските Алпи. То е част от железопътната линия, свързваща Цюрих с Милано.
Копаенето на тунела продължи 14 години, през които заради трудови злополуки загинаха осем работници. Съоръжението струва ще достигне 16 милиарда евро. За сравнение – в България предлаганата от фирмите цена за изграждане на километър магистрала е около 2,2 милиона евро за километър и то без поддръжката. В деня на завършването на прокопаването на трасето всички 2500 миньори, които са участвали в работата, бяха поканени на празника, който беше организиран на 2000 км под земята, под селцето Седрун. Последният пробив беше предаван на живо по швейцарската телевизия, а самите швейцарци смятат, че „Готард” не е просто тунел, а истинско чудо. Всички те одобриха започването на строителството през 1992 г. на референдум. Първите влакове се очаква да преминат през “Готард” през 2017 г. Тунелът ще облекчи значително трафика на пътници и стоки между Швейцария и Италия и ще окаже положително въздействие върху опазването на природата в Алпите. По отсечката се очаква да преминават до 300 влака дневно със скорост от 250 км в час.
Така “Готард” се превръща в най-дългия жп-тунел в света, като задмина досегашния първенец “Сейкан” (53,8 км), свързващ японските острови Хоншу и Хокайдо.
Въпреки първенството на „Готард”, „Сейкан” остава най-дългият подводен тунел. Идеята за създаването му идва след края на Втората световна война, когато японците искат да свържат островите Хокайдо и Хоншу, за да могат да свържат островната си държава и „по суша”. За завършването на проекта са нужни 40 години и 3,6 милиарда долара. Първият влак минава на 13 март 1988 г. Днес съоръжението не се използва толкова, колкото преди заради евтиния въздушен транспорт.
Тунелът под Ламанша, който британците наричат Ченъл, е най-дългият международен тунел в света със своите 50 500 метра, които свързват Великобритания и Франция. Тунелът започва от Фолкстоун, Кент и стига до Кокел, Па дъо Кале във Франция. Освен за влаковете, по него минава и автомобилно трасе. Идеята за построяването му е още от 1802 г. на френския инженер Албер Матьо. През 1830 г. са направени първите хидрогеоложки проучвания между Кале и Довър. Нещата обаче не напредват, докато през 1979 г. желязната лейди Маргарет Тачър заявява, че няма против проекта да се финансира и от частна фирма. През 1981 г. британският премиер Тачър и френският Франсоа Митеран подписват споразумение. През 1988 г. изграждането му все пак започва и за 6 години е завършено. Лентата е прерязана от британската кралица Елизабет ІІ и Митеран.Днес всички пътнически влакове в тунела вървят с електрически ток, доставян по равно от британците и французите.
„Льотчберг” – направен за една година
„Льотчберг” е завършен през 2006 г. и е официално отворен чак през юни 2007 г. Той е най-дългият наземен тунел в света, с дължина от 34 700 метра. Тунелът се простира между Берн и Валейс и по него минават както пътнически, така и товарни влакове. „Льотчберг” е построен само за една година – от 2005 г. до 2006 г., като до края на 2007г. тунелът и влаковете вече функционирали напълно. Пътническите влакове по него се движат със скорост от 200 километра в час.
„Гуадарама” – испанското чудо
Тунелът „Гуадарама” свързва Мадрид със Сеговия и Ваядолид. Дължината му е 28,4 километра и е направен за високоскоростните влакове. Построен е за 5 години – от 2002 до 2007 г. Това е най-големият жп-проект на Испания. Скоростта, която влаковете развиват там, е 350 километра в час. Стойността на проекта е малко над 1 милиард евро.
Тунелът Тайханг е най-дългият планиски железопътен тунел в Китай. Той е построен, за да пресече планините Тайханг. Тъй като е от два ръкава, дължината на единия е 27,839 метра, а на другия – 27,848 метра. Строежът му е завършен през декември 2007 г. по него преминава високоскоростен влак, който свързва столицата на провинция Хубей Ухан със столицата на провинция Шанси – Тайюан. Сега от Ухан до Тайюан се стига за 1 вместо за 6 часа.
Тунелът „Мармарай” свързва Европа и Азия между двете части на Истанбул. Той трябва да облекчи трафика в 20-милионния град. Тунелът е свързан и със 70-километровото градско метро. „Мармарай” е най-дълбокият тунел в света, изграден чрез свързване на тръби. Досега рекордът принадлежеше на подводна линия в пристанището на Сан Франциско на дълбочина 45 м. съоръжението е дело само на турски инженери. Районът е и зона със сеизмична активност и заради това трябва да се действа максимално бързо. Прогнозите на инженерите са, че през отсечката под Босфора ще преминават до 75 000 пътници на час, а влаковете ще могат да развиват до 100 километра в час.
Тунелът под Шипка
Пътният тунел под Шипка е доста стара идея – от преди 110 години, но напоследък отново е на мода. През лятото на 1994 г. беше направена първата символична копка на съоръжението. Темата е поставяна на общественото внимание от различни правителства. Според специалистите не е доказана икономическата изгода от него.
Въпреки икономическата криза все по-често се чертаят срокове за завършването му, макар до момента да има създадена само Междуведомствена работна група от трите засегнати от строежа министерства – на околната среда, на земеделието и на регионалното развитие и благоустройството. Групата подготвя законовите процедури за инвестиционния проект „Изграждане на пътен тунел Шипка в Шипченски проход”. Целта е да се намери най-добрият проект, по който да се работи за изграждането на тунела. Планът за действие на междуведомствената група предвижда всички процедури по ОВОС, отчуждаване на имоти от поземления фонд и горския фонд, и земеделски имоти да приключат до средата на 2012 г.
Тъй като най-вероятно ще се търси финансиране по Оперативна програма Транспорт на ЕС, ще се върви към цялостен проект за обходния път Габрово и тунела. Два са вариантите и за сроковете за изпълнение на строителните дейности. Ако бъде осигурен заем от Световната банка има възможност тунелът да бъде завършен до 2015 г. Тунелът под връх Шипка ще е с дължина от 20 км., а шосето ще е със ширина от 10,4 м. Проектът за тунела фигурира сред седемте, одобрени и включени и в Националния план за регионално развитие на Република България (2000 – 2006). Интерес към проекта в различни периоди са проявявали предимно японски фирми. 125 млн. долара е предварителната оценка на тунела от 2001 г. при 17,5% норма на възвращаемост.

Исторически проблем на повече от 100 години
Проектът “Тунел под Шипка” с основание може да се нарече исторически, ако не за друго, то заради темпото, с което се случва. Решението да се изградят обходни пътища на Габрово е взето още през 1975 г. и до 1992 г. част от дейностите са извършени. Спорни се оказват обаче следващите етапи, които предвиждат трасето на западния обход да преминава през пет квартала на града, а тунелът да бъде в т.нар. къс вариант (3.2 км). Изготвената през 1993 г. екологична експертиза обаче е крайно негативна и строителството е спряно.
Движение по проекта има отново през 2006 г., когато е направено предпроектно и проектно проучване със средства по програма ИСПА, а в края на 2007 г. АПИ обявява начало на строителните работи. Близо три години по-късно е проведено обществено обсъждане на доклада за ОВОС, който впоследствие е върнат от МОСВ за доработване и включване на алтернативни варианти за обход на града (източен и западен). Ревизираният доклад минава през ново обществено обсъждане в началото на миналата година.
Проект с алтернативи
Сегашният проект предвижда изграждането на обходен път, който тръгва от с. Поповци и преминава през пет квартала на Габрово, след което навлиза в територията на природен парк “Българка”, откъдето започва тунелът с дължина 3220 м. Според екоорганизациите и инициативните комитети обаче този вариант не решава въпроса с трафика, а го пренася от центъра към други квартали. Нещо повече, с изграждането на тунела под Шипка трафикът ще се увеличи, което допълнително ще утежни ситуацията, твърдят природозащитниците. Един от най-сериозните недостатъци на “късия вариант” е, че за да се стигне до тунела, трябва да се изгради път с дължина над 4 км и ширина между 15 и 40 м през парка, който попада в защитена зона от “Натура 2000”.
В същото време еколозите смятат, че има адекватни алтернативи. “Ние не сме против проекта, а сме за негови алтернативни варианти”, каза Екатерина Раковска от WWF. Става дума за т.нар. план “Мусман” по името на германския архитект, който го предлага още през 30-те години на миналия век. Този вариант е с около 10 км по-дълъг и предвижда изграждането на тунел с дължина около 7 км. Чрез него обаче се избягват крайните западни квартали на града, а освен това строителството в парка минава изцяло под земята и не се нанасят щети върху околната среда.
Има и трети вариант, според който трасето преминава на изток от Габрово. Той обаче също засяга значителен обем защитени територии, а освен това краят му е в Долината на царете край Казанлък, където има много археологически забележителности.
